Welcome to Grenzach-Wyhlen!

Grenzach-Wyhlen is a town of about 14.000 inhabitants, located in South-Western Germany. It lies between the foothills of the Black Forest and the river Rhine, near Basel.

This southern location is responsible for the mild climate in our region. In and around Grenzach-Wyhlen it is warmer than in other parts of Germany, and the sun shines more often.

The nature here is also very diverse: The unique “Buchswald” (buxus sempervirens), the nature reserve “Altrhein” or our traditional vineyard “Hornfelsen”, one of the most southern vineyards in Germany, are well-known.
Grenzach-Wyhlen is also a strong economical location. There are 5.600 workplaces, most of them in companies of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry that are well-known throughout the world.

All this makes Grenzach-Wyhlen an attractive place to live in. The closeness to Basel with its rich cultural activities, the Black Forest and the Alsace – all located just a few steps from Grenzach-Wyhlen – are a guarantee for a fulfilled leisure time.
